The ranking is based on tests carried out on the nPerf.com website and partner sites from 01/01/2018 to 12/31/2018. The ranking is based on the number of nPerf points. Other values are given for information purposes.
The partners help with promoting the nPerf brand and products.
Measurements are collected through the nPerf.com website and partner sites (for fixed-line data) and on nPerf mobile apps (for mobile data).Tests are carried out directly by the subscribers. This means they are representative of the Internet network quality as experienced by the users. The integrity of data collected is ensured by algorithms for encryption and monitoring of all results from the tests carried out.
Measurements collected are stored on nPerf servers. Processing is then carried out in order to discard tests from repetitive usage or which may be considered the result of misuse. The majority of processing is automated with the aim of ensuring maximum objectivity. Finally, the data used includes no fraudulent or imprecise tests that may skew the results.
The indicator selected for the ranking of fixed-line Internet networks is the average download speed. This is calculated by averaging all of the average download speeds measured over the period. This means the indicator represents the average user experience for each of the operators present. It therefore takes into account all packages offered by the operator, regardless of price.Only operators with national network coverage are selected.Upload speeds and latencies are also shown, but only for information purposes.
The indicator selected for the ranking of mobile networks is the overall nPerf score. The nPerf score takes account of all measurements taken during a complete test: download speed, upload speed, browsing performance, and video streaming performance. This means the indicator represents the average user experience for each of the operators present.Only operators with national network coverage are selected. In order to avoid a negative impact from using outdated devices, only tests carried out on 4G-compatible devices are taken into account.
