  • With 2 Mb/s in download, accessing your inbox is smooth, and messages open instantly even large ones.
  • An upload rate of at least 1 Mb/s ensures that emails with attachments are sent swiftly and without interruption.

💡 Did you know? A plain text email usually weighs only about 50 KB, but a few attached photos can easily exceed 10 MB.

  • A bandwidth above 3 Mb/s guarantees seamless playback, even in high audio quality, with no buffering.
  • With 1 Mb/s upstream, your actions (likes, skips, syncing) happen instantly.

💡 Useful info: One hour of standard quality music equals about 45 MB, or roughly 3 minutes of full loading time at 2 Mb/s.

  • With 3 to 4 Mb/s or more available, you can browse efficiently on any site, even those embedding videos.
  • At 1 Mb/s upload, interactions on websites remain smooth. However, latency plays a major role in responsiveness above 100 ms, pages may take noticeably longer to load.

💡 Fun fact: Google’s homepage weighs just 300 KB, while some news sites exceed 5 MB.

  • With 20 to 25 Mb/s in download, you can enjoy 4K streaming on YouTube, Netflix, or Disney+ without any buffering.
  • An upstream rate between 10 and 45 Mb/s allows you to stream in 1080p at 60 fps or upload large 4K videos quickly.

💡 Good to know: A 4K video can consume up to 7 GB per hour, which equals a sustained rate of around 15 Mb/s.

  • With 160 Mb/s download capacity, you can download a 70 GB game in under an hour ideal for frequent gamers.
  • From 15 Mb/s upload and above, online synchronization is smooth, voice chat remains stable, and gameplay feels seamless.

💡 Fun fact: A single Call of Duty session can generate up to 100 MB of outbound data per hour!

  • A download rate of 5 Mb/s or higher ensures fluid, stable HD meetings, even with several participants.
  • A similar upload capacity keeps your image and sound clear during live transmission. To avoid delays during calls, latency is key keeping it below 50 ms is ideal.

💡 Good to know: A 1080p video call can use around 1.5 GB per hour.

  • With 5 Mb/s downstream, all your content (stories, lives, reels) loads rapidly and in high definition.
  • From 5 Mb/s upstream, you can post instantly, even large video files.

💡 Good to know: A 30 second HD Reel weighs about 25 MB at 5 Mb/s, it uploads in just a few seconds.

  • At 5 Mb/s download, your files become available almost instantly, even while multitasking.
  • With 5 Mb/s or more upload, transfers are fast and steady, without interruption.

💡 The number: 50 files of 5 MB each = 250 MB, or about 6–7 minutes of transfer time at 5 Mb/s under optimal conditions.

  • With a very short delay under 20 milliseconds your calls are crisp and instantaneous, with no lag.
  • When latency rises to around 80–100 milliseconds, browsing and video playback remain smooth, but you may notice slight delays during live conversations.
  • Latency measures how long it takes for data to travel from your device to a server and back (in milliseconds – ms). The lower it is, the more “instant” your connection feels.
  • Low latency (for example, 10–20 ms) allows smooth video calls and responsive online gaming.
  • High latency (for example, 100 ms or more) can cause audio/video delays or sluggish response times.

💡 Good to know: Latency mainly depends on your distance from the server and the quality of your network infrastructure (fiber, 4G/5G, satellite, etc.). A fast connection alone doesn’t always guarantee responsiveness.
